The collection Gucci Fall/Winter 2017 is like a journey between dream and reality, between wild gardens populated by plants and animals and ancient laboratories of alchemists. Alessandro Michele, for his first co-ed collection, in which we see man next to the woman, proceeds by contradictions, contrasts, ambivalences for a strong dualisms with a great connection between the multiple aspects of a several identity. The Ouroboros, the snake biting its tail, thus becomes the iconic symbol of the collection, beginning and end of everything, but also perfect shape that creates and destroys the rigid thinking dualist based on opposites. Grasshoppers, beetles, tigers and wolves coexist with golden eagles, lizards, butterflies and poppies on flounced dresses, silk suit from the straight jacket, on wide trousers and skirts gipsy-chic inspired forming a kaleidoscopic and perfect wardrobe.
