Pears & Chocolate – Dessert Actually You’ ll Want To Eat

The weekend is started. Many of you are struggling with choosing the right look to wear for a social weekend, many of you are choosing the destination for a short escape, and many of you are thinking for a dinner party menu. Here is what we thought, not a menu but a delicious dessert. Pears with chocolate, an old French recipe that sees the combination of two different ingredients, but as we all know is not unusual to combine chocolate with fruit. chocolate goes with everything.


4 pears
200 g Sugar
500 ml Water
For the vanilla sauce
2 egg yolks
125 ml fresh cream
37 ml milk
half a vanilla pod
37 g Sugar
For the chocolate sauce
100 g dark chocolate
30ml water
30 ml Fresh Cream


First prepare the vanilla sauce: Put in a saucepan the cream and milk, affect the vanilla pod and remove the seeds then add them to the cream and milk. let it warm up for about 20 minutes over low heat.
Add the yolks with the sugar and when the mixture will be foamy slowly pour the milk and cream filtering. Stir and put on the fire to thicken the custard. Low heat without boiling.

To prepare the syrup pour the sugar and water in a pot. Dissolve the sugar but without boiling.
Peel the pears, then place them in the syrup and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes. Drain the pears on a paper towel. Now put them in a tray and place in the fridge for an hour.
Now we prepare the chocolate sauce. Chop the chocolate and put a bowl, heat the water and versrla slowly over the chocolate, stirring constantly. Add the warm cream and ladle to obtain a smooth sauce.
Take the pears, remove the stalk, the lower, the core and cut into slices about half a centimeter.
Pour the vanilla sauce carefully lay down on a tray over the pears then decorate with chocolate sauce still hot.
